Polish rally driver Miko Marczyk, the 2025 European Rally Champion, has set a new Guinness World Record for the longest journey by an electric car on a single charge. Driving a standard Audi A6 Sportback e-tron Performance, he covered 1,338 kilometres, about 831 miles, across Poland and back, a trip that took more than 45 hours. According to Auto Express, the car averaged a remarkable 8.8 miles per kWh, nearly twice its official efficiency figure, in regular traffic including rush hour. The previous record stood at 749 miles, set in a Lucid Air Grand Touring, which carries a bigger battery than the Audi.

The storm

The East Coast is getting hammered this weekend.
