Kai Cenat is done playing Chained Together on a screen. The Twitch streamer told viewers he is planning a Kai Cenat IShowSpeed chained together broadcast, playing the co-op climbing game while physically chained to each other in real life, Dexerto reported.

The plan is simple in concept and unhinged in practice. Cenat said the two of them will find a day to do it, rent a house, and set up in separate rooms with two different PC setups. Then they get strapped together in real life and stay that way until they finish the game. No date or time has been announced, and Dexerto noted that arranging a house and multiple setups could push any official announcement out by weeks.

The game behind the idea

Chained Together is a multiplayer co-op game where up to four players, chained to one another inside the game, have to climb their way out of the depths of hell through a long run of parkour and obstacle courses. It belongs to the same family as Getting Over It and Bread and Fred: easy to understand, painful to finish.

That difficulty is the whole appeal. Cenat has built a reputation on completion streams that do not end until the game is beaten, and in the last few months he has gone all out for Ghost of Tsushima, Red Dead Redemption and Elden Ring runs, according to Dexerto. Chaining himself to another person just takes the existing formula, where one fall can undo hours of progress, and adds a roommate to the punishment.

Speed won the award in 2024 and 2025, and this year his resume includes traveling to multiple countries inside a single stream, performing at the FIFA World Cup closing ceremony, and a WWE collaboration. A joint stream where they are literally attached to each other is the logical endpoint of that partnership, and it fits the IRL series Cenat has been teasing.

Fans are reacting the way fans always react when a streamer announces something like this.
