Law Roach walked into Paris Fashion Week this week with Porsha Williams on his arm, and the fashion crowd noticed. Sandra Rose reported that the celebrity stylist brought the Real Housewives of Atlanta star to the Schiaparelli Womenswear Spring/Summer 2027 runway show on Thursday, October 1. It was a public debut for a brand-new client relationship, staged on the biggest runway week of the season.

Porsha apparently hired Law Roach to style her for Paris Fashion Week, according to the same report. Porsha is best known for her role as a cast member on The Real Housewives of Atlanta, and landing Roach signals she is serious about a fashion-level-up era. Roach calls himself an image architect, and his past clients include Zendaya, Celine Dion, Ariana Grande, and Khloe Kardashian. Porsha is the newest name on a roster that just got a lot more high-profile.

Law Roach's Kim Kardashian era is already underway

Last month, Law Roach announced his newest A-list client with two words. On September 19, Kim Kardashian attended the opening of the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art in Los Angeles wearing an archival black-and-gold sequin Yves Saint Laurent gown designed by Tom Ford for the Fall/Winter 2004 collection. Soon after she hit the red carpet, Law Roach posted footage of Kim in the dress on social media and wrote, "New client," confirming the partnership. Vogue also confirmed that Law Roach is Kim's new stylist, BuzzFeed reported. Online reaction was swift: one X user wrote that Kim needs Roach especially if she is doing another season of her TV show, while another joked that Zendaya was about to see her stylist on Kim and start a group chat, Primetimer reported.

The pairing makes sense once you know Kim's history with stylists. Her ex-husband Kanye West was credited with revolutionizing her image and kept styling her for months after she filed for divorce in 2021. Kim later described their fashion split as psychologically hard, BuzzFeed reported. She then worked with stylist Danielle Levi, who had dressed the Skims founder in Dolce and Gabbana, Sandra Rose reported. On an episode of The Kardashians, Kim explained that Levi picks out her outfits, sources the looks, and helps her decide what she likes and dislikes, adding that she always needs someone to confirm that a look works.

From retirement to the most-wanted stylist in the room

Law Roach almost walked away from all of this not long ago. In 2023 he announced his retirement from celebrity styling in an Instagram post, writing that his cup was empty and thanking everyone who had trusted him with their image over the years. The Jasmine Brand reported that he later clarified he was not retiring from fashion altogether and kept working on select projects, before returning to full-time styling in 2025.

His reputation rests on going to extremes for the right look. Mindfood reported that in June he flew to Paris on a private jet to collect a Schiaparelli gown straight off the runway so Zendaya could wear it to the London premiere of The Odyssey that same night, just hours after the dress debuted on the catwalk. For the same press tour, he emailed designer Sophia Webster directly to track down a pair of vintage gladiator-style Clementine sandals from her Autumn/Winter 2014 collection, and a follower named Yvette who happened to own them in the right size had them couriered to his hotel so Zendaya could wear them at the tour's stop in New York.

Kim's first Law Roach look showed the same instinct. The Chinese-inspired vintage YSL sequin dress was an archival pull rather than a current-season sample, which longtime followers recognized as his signature move. Rihanna's gold skirt suit already turned heads at Paris Fashion Week earlier in the week, and Law Roach made sure his clients were part of the same conversation. Red carpet season is only getting started, and the MTV VMAs showed how much a single look can dominate the news cycle. His first outing with Porsha landed at one of the season's most-watched shows, and his first look on Kim drew headlines of its own.
