London guitar band Keo is crossing the Atlantic for the first time. The Keo tour — the group's debut North American headline run, billed as the "Put A Smile On For Me" tour — was announced today, October 5, 2026, in support of a debut album that has already rewritten the record books for British guitar bands. The fifteen-date run opens April 28, 2027 at Johnny Brenda's in Philadelphia and closes May 20, 2027 at the Troubadour in Los Angeles.
In between, the Keo tour hits Songbyrd in Washington, D.C. (April 30, 2027), Brighton Music Hall in Boston (May 1, 2027), Bowery Ballroom in New York (May 2, 2027), Drake Underground in Toronto (May 5, 2027), Beat Kitchen in Chicago (May 7, 2027), Minneapolis (May 8, 2027), Denver (May 10, 2027), Salt Lake City (May 11, 2027), Portland (May 13, 2027), Vancouver (May 14, 2027), Seattle (May 15, 2027), San Francisco (May 17, 2027) and San Diego (May 19, 2027). Tickets move in two waves this week: an artist presale begins October 7, 2026 at 10 a.m. local time, followed by the general on-sale October 9, 2026 at the same hour. With the band's UK shows selling out on announcement, demand for the Keo tour is expected to run hot on both sides of the border.
The Keo tour follows a record-breaking debut
Put A Smile On For Me, released September 25, 2026 through Island Records, entered at No. 2 on the UK Official Albums Chart in its first week, moving 23,500 units — and topped the UK Physical Albums Chart and the UK Vinyl Albums Chart in the same frame. According to a press release, that haul made Keo the first UK band in more than two years to move more than 20,000 debut-album units in a single week, a benchmark that underlines how rare a guitar-band breakthrough has become on the British charts. That first-week performance is the engine behind the Keo tour's ambition.
The chart week itself was a genuine race. Keo led the midweek rankings ahead of Nothing But Thieves' Stray Dogs and Taylor Swift's The Life of a Showgirl, as reported by Rock Sound, before settling into the runner-up slot on the UK's flagship albums ranking when the final numbers landed. For a band that built its following the old-fashioned way — word of mouth and, according to a press release, "relentless touring," with very little reliance on social media — the result reads like vindication for the long road.
Recorded mostly live and self-produced by frontman Finn Keogh alongside guitarist Jimmy Lanwern in a matter of weeks, the album is an unfiltered examination of shame, accountability, memory and vulnerability, according to The Music Universe. Keogh has described opening single "Be Happy" as a song about "envy towards people who feel content with the banality of life," as reported by The Songbird HQ — a lyric that doubles as the mission statement of a band still figuring itself out in public.
From support slots to a sold-out Brixton
The Keo tour caps a dizzying year for the London four-piece. Keo graduated from the capital's underground circuit to supporting Wolf Alice, then played the Main Stage at Reading & Leeds in summer 2026. The band is currently midway through a sold-out UK headline tour, and its spring 2027 show at London's O2 Academy Brixton, set for March 12, 2027, sold out before the album was even released.
The wider 2027 campaign is bigger still: as reported by The Line of Best Fit, the band's headline run spans twelve dates across the UK and Ireland, twelve more across mainland Europe, and the fifteen North American shows — a world tour of nearly forty dates behind a debut record. British guitar bands rarely headline three continents on a first album cycle, and Keo are widely framed as part of the same new rock wave as Wunderhorse and the Irish band behind Fontaines D.C.'s own 2027 North American tour, covered on the GenZ NewZ celebrity beat earlier this month. If the Keo tour sells the way the UK dates did, these small rooms will not stay small for long.
For fans, the playbook is simple. The artist presale opens October 7, 2026 at 10 a.m. local time — sign up through the band's channels before Wednesday to get access — and the general on-sale follows October 9, 2026 at the same hour. Given that the Brixton show sold out in advance, treat the presale window as the real on-sale. The Keo tour is the sound of a band arriving; the only question is whether the rooms are big enough.
