The Last Venus Star Point in Scorpio Lands on October 24

The countdown to October 24 has an exact time on the ephemeris: 03:43 UT, according to astrologer Paula Lustemberg. That is when retrograde Venus reaches the center of the Sun at 0°45′ Scorpio, the inferior conjunction that cuts every Venus retrograde in two. On one side sits the evening star we have watched since September; on the other, a reborn morning star. This time the flip carries unusual weight: astrologers say it is the final Venus star point in Scorpio of our lifetime.

Venus stations retrograde on October 3 at 8°29′ Scorpio, Lustemberg reports, inside an already tense month. Jessica Davidson notes the station lands in a T-square, with Venus square Mars in Leo while Mars opposes Pluto in Aquarius, a chart she describes as primed for power struggles, sudden reversals in relationships, and money fears that cut to survival level. The planet then disappears from the evening sky around October 19, vanishing into the Sun's glare before the conjunction. That conjunction is the Venus star point, the midpoint of the roughly 40-day retrograde cycle.

Nearly a century comes to an end

What sets this cazimi apart is geometry with a long memory. Venus and the Sun align five times every eight years, each conjunction tracing one point of a five-petaled pattern across the sky. The Scorpio points of that pattern have been landing in Scorpio since 1930, when the first one fell at 29° Scorpio, reports Astro Butterfly. Every eight-year cycle since, the Scorpio Venus star point has crept backward through the sign, degree by degree, until it reached the very first degree this year. On October 24 it lands at 0° Scorpio, and the series closes: future star points migrate into Libra, with the next Scorpio one not due until 2181.

"This is the conclusion, the final outcome of all the Scorpio business we have been working through for almost a century," Astro Butterfly writes, calling it the last Scorpio Venus star point of our lives. The newsletter The Goddess and the Moon says the same thing more plainly: going forward, the star point moves into Libra, and this is the last time in our lifetime the conjunction happens in Scorpio.

What the reset brings

Davidson frames the Venus star point as a review moment. In her October 2026 forecast she advises using the days around October 24 to look back at what the retrograde has already surfaced in the Scorpio area of one's chart, to gather inspiration and plant seeds for changes once Venus stations direct in November. The chart of the moment brings hard edges: the conjunction squares Pluto and opposes Chiron, which Davidson says can make it a painful realization and, for those willing to change, a chance to find healing in relationships and finances.

The same day carries a second gear shift. Mercury stations retrograde in Scorpio on October 24, at about 21° of the sign, Davidson reports, turning thought inward just as Venus reaches her reset point. Mercury retrograde and Venus retrograde rarely overlap so precisely in one sign, and the pairing doubles down on the review theme: old conversations, unresolved agreements and hidden information are likely to surface for a second look before anything moves forward.

Astrologers tie the month's pressure points to specific dates around the star point. Venus squares Pluto on October 19 and 20, the second of three squares stretching from September 15 to December 9, a sequence the astrologer Aepril Schaile connects to power dynamics, intimacy and reclaiming sovereignty in relationships. Venus also opposes Chiron three times between September and November, an extended healing arc around vulnerability and old emotional wounds. Fixed signs Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius sit closest to the action, one October forecast notes, since most of the month's hardest aspects run through fixed signs.

After the conjunction, Venus rises as the morning star and the retrograde enters its second act. Venus backs into Libra on October 25, stations direct on November 14 at 22°51′ Libra, re-enters Scorpio on December 4, and exits the retrograde shadow on December 15, according to Lustemberg's dates, published at paulalustemberg.com. The evening-star phase that began in September is over; the new Venus star point cycle begins at Scorpio's first degree, and whatever the next century of Scorpio star points would have held, this one belongs to us.
