An AI trading agent now manages real money at a scale that is hard to ignore. StakerX.ai, an agentic trading platform built by Switzerland-based StakerX Strategies AG, has passed $40 million in assets staked on Solana less than three months after its public launch on July 13, 2026, according to a company announcement carried by The Block on October 19.
The engine behind the platform is StakerGPT, an AI trading agent that trades crypto markets around the clock. More than 8,200 users have joined the platform so far, funding their stakes with over 40 cryptocurrencies from most major blockchains. The capital is put to work in crypto perpetual futures markets every day, without a human placing each order.
The headline number is the stake size, but the more interesting figure is the transparency claim: StakerGPT publishes every trade it makes. The company says its full record is posted daily at stakerx.ai/trades, with the market, direction, entry and exit prices and return of each position. As of October 18, 2026, the record held 804 trades across 139 trading days, according to TipRanks.
How StakerGPT actually trades
An agentic system is software that carries out a multi-step task on its own, and StakerGPT fits the definition closely. According to the company, the AI trading agent monitors crypto markets continuously, reasons over potential trade setups, filters them through risk controls and routes the approved trades for execution. It is built on what the company calls rare-access Claude Mythos.
Users do not need to bridge or swap anything to participate. Deposits in USDC, USDT, BTC, ETH, SOL, BNB, TRX and more than 30 other cryptocurrencies from Solana, Ethereum, Bitcoin, BNB Chain, Base, Arbitrum, Polygon, Tron and other networks are converted and credited as USDC, a dollar-backed stablecoin, on Solana. Stakes start at $10 and run for 30 days, as reported by fundamentalstocks.net.
Every trade is listed with both live-executed and signal-derived trades, which matters for anyone reading the record. Signal-derived trades are positions the AI trading agent's models would have taken but that were not necessarily executed with real capital. The blended record is more auditable than a black-box bot, but it is not the same as a verified brokerage statement. The public ledger is unusual in an industry where trading algorithms are normally treated as proprietary secrets and guarded as competitive advantages.
Why showing its work matters
The trust problem in autonomous finance is simple: an agent that moves money unsupervised needs to be accountable. Most trading bots ask users to trust summary statistics. StakerGPT's approach inverts that by making the raw trade log the product, letting anyone check what the AI trading agent did on any given day instead of relying on aggregate figures.
The timing is notable. Banks have been drawing hard lines around agents touching customer money: on JPMorgan's third-quarter earnings call on October 13, CEO Jamie Dimon said the bank will not let outside AI agents log into customer accounts or move money, and Citi followed this week with its own restrictions, as an October 17 analysis of the bank lockdowns recounts. Crypto platforms have no such gatekeepers, which makes them the default laboratory for autonomous financial agents.
The broader trend supports the experiment. Startups are building payment and spending tools specifically for AI agents, and agent oversight infrastructure is attracting real capital alongside them. StakerGPT is one of the few live examples with a public ledger attached to the experiment, which is why its numbers are worth watching even for skeptics of crypto staking. The accountability question it raises is the same one facing banks now deploying agent identity systems to keep autonomous finance auditable.
The fine print
Readers should keep the sourcing in mind. The announcement is a Chainwire press release, a paid wire service, and the figures are company-reported rather than independently audited. Crypto perpetual futures are leveraged instruments with substantial downside risk, and staking returns are not guaranteed.
Still, the milestone is a data point in the story that matters most to the agent ecosystem: autonomous agents are graduating from demos to managing real capital with real users. Whether StakerGPT's transparent-record model becomes an industry standard or a cautionary tale, the next 139 trading days will be public either way.
