The weekend packed a lot into forty-eight hours: a SpaceX cargo ship hauling science gear to the space station, a Wall Street selloff driven by doubts about AI debt, and an electric SUV with more horsepower than most race cars. If you skimmed the headlines between everything else going on, this Sunday quiz is your catch-up: six real stories, six questions, and no trick questions beyond the ones the news wrote for itself.
Each question below comes from a story published this weekend. Pick an answer for each one, then scroll to the answer key at the bottom to see how you did. Four out of six makes you respectably informed, and a perfect score means you spent the weekend reading the news rather than just hearing about it. The Sunday quiz answers
1. C) Thirty-fifth. NASA reported that the Dragon docked with the space-facing port of the station's Harmony module at 10:27 a.m. Eastern, delivering food, equipment and science gear for the Expedition 75 crew. The capsule had launched two days earlier from Cape Canaveral and also carried the final pair of the station's roll-out solar arrays, plus hardware for growing artificial retinas and brain tissue in microgravity, research aimed at restoring vision and finding treatments for diseases like Alzheimer's and Parkinson's. SpaceX has been flying cargo for NASA for years; the company's spectrum ambitions were covered here earlier this month.
2. C) Android seventeen. According to Engadget, this rollout is the last major OS upgrade for Samsung's 2023 flagship tablet family, which arrived with a promise of four generations of OS updates and five years of security patches. The tablets will keep getting security fixes until 2028, just no new Android versions after this one.
3. B) One thousand one hundred fifty-three. Electrek reported that the new electric AMG GT SUV makes up to one thousand one hundred fifty-three horsepower from three axial-flux motors, with DC fast charging at up to seven hundred ten kilowatts, enough for a ten-to-eighty-percent charge in about twelve minutes. Three versions are coming to the United States in the summer of 2027, led by the GT 63, and the SUV is aimed squarely at the Porsche Cayenne Electric.
4. A) CoreWeave. The Nvidia-backed data center company dropped nearly twelve percent on Friday alone, stretching its five-session slide to roughly twenty-five percent, while its bonds sold off so hard that yields topped fifteen percent. The Nasdaq fell about four and a half percent on the week and chip stocks got hit even harder, as investors questioned whether the borrowing behind the AI buildout can ever pay for itself. Hot inflation data and surging oil prices piled on. For more market-themed trivia, try the Money Markets quiz.
5. A) Scott Tucker. MacRumors reported, citing Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, that Tucker, who led litigation at Meta after a senior legal stint at Morgan Stanley, takes the newly created role overseeing Apple's commercial and patent disputes worldwide. The hire reunites him with Apple's general counsel Jennifer Newstead, herself a former Meta legal chief, while current litigation VP Heather Grenier will now report to Tucker. Apple is fighting on several fronts at once, from its App Store battle with Epic Games to a federal antitrust suit.
6. A) Rain postponed it; the Rays won. NBC Sports reported that Friday's downpour in Cleveland pushed the game to Saturday night, when Tampa Bay beat the Guardians seven to three to even the best-of-seven at two games apiece. It was the first ALCS postponement since twenty nineteen, and the compressed schedule wiped out the series' remaining off days. Meanwhile the Milwaukee Brewers, fresh off sweeping the Dodgers, are waiting in the World Series for the winner.
