Contentstack has launched Contentstack Canoe, a tool that tells brands exactly what artificial intelligence engines are saying about them to buyers. The launch happened on October 1, 2026 at ContentCon Europe in Amsterdam, and it is the company's first standalone product. Contentstack describes itself as an agentic experience platform company, and Canoe marks its move beyond the core content management business.
The idea behind Canoe is simple. Buyers increasingly ask AI engines for product recommendations instead of running keyword searches. Contentstack says brands have had almost no visibility into what those engines actually answer. Canoe scans a brand's own website, drafts the questions buyers are likely to ask, tags each question by buying stage, and then runs them across the engines to show whether the brand appeared in the answers and how it was described.
Each report covers several layers of detail. It shows whether the brand appeared at all, how the engines characterized it, which of up to ten named competitors appeared instead, and which sources the engines cited for their answers. Growth-plan users can edit the drafted questions before a run. The company framed the launch as the start of a broader push into AI visibility as a category.
The MCP server turns a report into work agents can start on
The detail most likely to matter to agent builders sits on the paid tiers. Contentstack says paid plans include a remote MCP server. That server lets Contentstack's own Agent OS, Claude, Cursor, and other MCP clients read Canoe reports directly, draft fixes for a team to review, and re-run the analysis to measure what changed. A visibility report stops being a static list of problems and becomes a loop that an agent can pick up and work through.
That design choice fits a pattern appearing across agent tooling this month. Analytics products are wiring agent conversations into measurable pipelines, and marketing platforms are adding agentic buying layers. Canoe's contribution is the measurement loop: run the questions, read the report through an agent, change the site or the sources, then run the questions again to see whether the engines changed their answers. For teams running always-on agents against public-facing content, that feedback loop is the product.
Pricing, self-serve, and who can use it
Contentstack Canoe is priced in three tiers, the launch release states. A Free plan costs nothing and does not expire; it runs ChatGPT and Gemini on a monthly cycle. The Growth plan is priced at $279 per month or $2,790 per year and adds Perplexity and Claude to the engine mix. An Enterprise plan is scheduled for early 2027. Existing Contentstack enterprise customers receive Growth entitlements at no additional cost through December 31, 2026, according to the launch release.
Notably, the tool works with any website. A brand does not need to run its content on Contentstack's platform to use Canoe, and it does not need to go through an enterprise sales process. Contentstack also opened self-serve signups on October 1, giving users their first free way into the company's broader platform, including its CMS and Agent OS. Canoe is positioned as the entry product, but the company clearly intends the free tier to pull users toward the rest of the stack.
Why this launch is worth watching
AI visibility is turning into a crowded but unresolved market. The central question is not whether brands care what AI engines say about them — they do — but whether any vendor can make the measurement reliable enough to act on. Answers from the same engine can shift day to day, and different engines cite different sources. Canoe's answer is repetition: keep running the same questions, watch the trends, and let agents do the follow-up work in a measurable loop.
For the agent ecosystem, the launch adds another instrument panel to the cockpit. Earlier this week, coverage on subscription bundles for AI agents highlighted how quickly infrastructure for agents is productizing. Measurement is now following the same path: analytics for agent conversations, visibility for AI search answers, and MCP servers connecting the two. The teams that will win this category are the ones that turn reports into actions, not just dashboards.
The real test for Contentstack Canoe arrives with the Enterprise plan in early 2027 and with adoption beyond Contentstack's existing customer base. A free tier that anyone can try on any website should generate data quickly. Whether brands keep paying $279 a month once the free insights run out depends on whether the agents at the other end of that MCP server can demonstrably move the needle in AI answers. That is the experiment to watch.
